http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Azl_1T6jOno A video I made with 4 friends of mine from High School. :)
I just wanted to see what people think about it and how I can improve my skills as a filmmaker.

Maybe a "retro" section that dedicates articles/reviews to all things, well, retro!
Sorta like a back in the day deal. Maybe flixist can have a review of a movie that "came out on this day'. I think it would be fun to read reviews on some oldies but not always goodies.

Change the "welcome to the flixist community" post
http://www.flixist.com/welcome-to-the-flixist-community-196768.phtml
It's linked to in a bunch of places, but it talks about a lot of things that the site doesn't seem to/totally should have (Forums, Events?) which seems kinda weird.

A feature in reviews that helps you find the nearest cinema showing said reviewed movie
This would help make it easier for readers to seamlessly find a location of a movie that has been favourably reviewed by the site that they wish to see. Just integrate it at the bottom of a review or something, or at least have it provide a link to a site (Flixster?) that will provide all the information.

A Weekly/Monthly roundup feature recommending the best OST released.
I love a good Movie/Videogame soundtrack. I'd love to see a monthly or weekly feature on Flixist that pretty much recommends all the best soundtracks released in a specific week/month. It would be pretty sweet.

Create a section for rumors where users can vote the likeliness
Post unconfirmed speculation in its own separate, database-like section. Allow site visitors to vote on the likelihood of rumors and routinely test the predictive capacity of the site's audience. This way, encourage the tracking/posting of more rumors (which can be fun and entertaining) without front-paging too many articles with "grain of salt" caveats.

Create an alternate way of viewing/sorting reviews
Although the new Flixist has made it easier to sort film reviews by genre, it would be awesome if there was a way to view a list of all of the films reviewed on the site (since there are a lot of them), that is sortable alphabetically, by score (high->low and vice versa), by date, or even by writer (though that one's probably pushing it a bit).

Integrate Movie Streaming into the Site so we can watch the same movie at the same time with our Flixist peeps
I'm sure this would be a difficult one to pull off, put I think it would be absolutely amazing if anyone in the flixist community to watch the same movie at the same time with another community member, with a little chatty bar to make witty and insightful remarks and penis jokes.
I'm not sure how this could work though. Maybe you could have a system where only 4 (Less or more) movies would be available for everyone for a span of one month only and after that you would have a new selection replacing them. Or something.
